Top Google Search Console Features I Use All the Time

Google Search Console is an essential tool for tracking and improving your website’s SEO. Here are the top features I use regularly to keep my site optimized and performing well:

1) Inspect Tool

This is hands down my favorite feature. As soon as I publish a new page, I use the Inspect Tool to request indexing. Most of the time, my page gets indexed by the next day! It’s also useful for getting Google to recognize updates or changes to existing pages quickly.

2) Google Removal Tool

Sometimes, pages I don’t want in search results get indexed. For example, maybe I forgot to set "no index" or hide them from Google’s crawl bots. The Removal Tool helps me clean up my site by removing irrelevant or outdated pages from search results. I also use this to help clients declutter their indexed pages.

3) Links Tab

Want to see who’s linking to you? The Links Tab shows all your backlinks and helps you track which pages are gaining authority. Super useful for monitoring your SEO efforts!

4) Performance Tab

This tab gives you insight into how your site is ranking. You can see what keywords “also called queries” you’re showing up for, how many clicks and impressions you’re getting, and track your rankings over time. If you’re serious about SEO, this tab is gold.

5) Pages Tab

I always double-check this tab to ensure my important pages are indexed. The "Discovered but not indexed" and "Crawled but not indexed" sections are great for catching any pages that should be showing up in search but aren’t. Gives me peace of mind!

6) Core Web Vitals

Technical performance matters too! This feature helps me make sure my site is fast, easy to read, and mobile friendly. It flags things like large images, text that’s too small, or buttons that are too close together so I can fix them before they hurt my rankings.
